I wanted to write a blog post to update everyone on my status as a mother of two. I am extremely happy and feel completely blessed, but I’d hate to lie and say that it’s been easy. Going from one child to two is an extremely hard transition and I had never anticipated it to be so challenging. My daughter is doing great for the most part. My son has developed reflux and is quite fussy these days, so baby wearing has been saving me most days!! We are doing things to help with that, so hopefully soon he will get some relief. It’s so hard to watch him in pain. The first week home was exceptionally hard, like really hard. Right away, my daughter felt like we didn’t want her around because she kept going to Grandma’s or she’d head over to a friend’s place for a play date. We only wanted her to be able to enjoy her last days of summer before Kindergarten. I think the person who took all of this the hardest was me. I had to learn to divide my attention between two kids instead of one. They both have extremely different needs and require such opposite types of attention.  It’s been the most challenging aspect of having another child. Add hormones into the mix and you’ve got a very emotional mommy. I’m feeling so much better these days, but I really have not been in the right place mentally to tend to my business. Embarrassingly, I have slacked on my client inquiries and emails coming in since I’ve had Harrison. I feel extreme guilt, but I know that I needed to step away from it for a bit to care for my new baby and take care of myself. So, I want to sincerely apologize if you’ve emailed me and the email went unanswered due to my unorganized mommy brain. I’m hoping to get back into the swing of things here soon. I’m still booking winter sessions for the remainder of 2016! I will be taking on less work than usual, but I will still be working when I can. I will be trying to keep up with emails and business soon, it’s just been taking time.   And…. it wouldn’t be a blog post without some cute baby pictures! Meet Harrison John (5 days old). He is currently 16 days old now.Big Sister holding Harrison the day after he was born
